A train derailment in St. Clair County, Alabama, on Thursday afternoon (October 1) has led to the evacuation of nearby areas. According to St. Clair County Communications, the incident occurred near Buckner Trailers, Industrial Drive, and Walker Drive in Springville. Residents within a 1,000-foot radius have been asked to evacuate, while others are advised to avoid the area.

The derailment involved approximately 20 to 30 train cars, as confirmed by the St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Authorities have established a 1,000-foot evacuation radius as a precautionary measure.
