From his time on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to his Bad Boys days, Will Smith has always been one of the funnier actors in Hollywood. However, he's never truly delved into stand-up comedy. That will all change in the coming months as he prepares to executive produce and host his own comedy special for Netflix. Deadline reports that the one-hour special presentation will feature "surprise celebrity guests, noteworthy conversations, fresh comedic sketches, huge musical performances and more."

His upcoming comedy special is the latest move in his relationship with Netflix. Earlier this year, Smith produced and hosted a limited series called Amend: The Fight For America. The six-part series uses portions of the U.S. Constitution to examine how systems of discrimination and racism have operated in America throughout the past and continue to exist in the present.

"When the United States of America was founded, the ideals of freedom and equality did not apply to all people. These are the stories of the brave Americans who fought to right the nation’s wrongs and enshrine the values we hold most dear into the Constitution — with liberty and justice for all," Netflix wrote about the series.

In addition to working on Amend: The Fight For America, Smith also executive produces one of Netflix's newest and most promising acquisitions, Cobra Kai. The two-season drama follows the story of The Karate Kid stars Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence as they handle adult life while managing their own karate dojos. Season three of Cobra Kai is expected to arrive on Netflix later this year.

Beyond his work with Netflix, Smith is slated to star as Richard Williams in the upcoming film directed by Reinaldo Marcus Williams. There are also rumors that he may star in Aladdin II next year. Simply put, Smith is a busy man.
